The Untitled (Pink Lumpy) was a part of a project at university, exploring the extrapolation of ideas from an object. The creative process began with 10-sided dice, deriving characteristics from the dice. Randomness inspired my initial concepts. Shiny yellow fabric, was submerged into PVA glue to create a plastic-like material. When scrunched up into a ball and rolled along the floor, creating unique & elegant forms as these balls slowly expanded.

The characteristic of expansion & randomness, was taken from this trial to create an infection-like growth from tissue paper. The papers degrading structure when wet, created a lumpy & wavy texture, giving the artwork its organism aesthetic. The thrown tissue paper created a rough and randomised composition, with different coloured tissue paper to create an infection/cancerous organism that spread throughout the space. The artwork encroaches on the architecture of the building, consuming walls, pipes, switches, and doorways.
